I apoligize if this has been covered in the past, cause i dont get over here too much.----Have Y"all ever watched these things? Band starts out in a garage----plays a pizza joint----gets discovered----gets a recording contract-----has a hit record----does LOTS of drugs, alcohol and fight with the record company(cause they're real artists)----- break up----- now straight and sober making a comeback. With Jimmys current noteriety VH1 has got to be looking at this! a very fascinating and interesting life so far. Of course WE know most of it. Tell you something fellow Ph,s Jimmy shares far more of his personal life with us,than any other celeb would dare to.

I doubt very seriously that Buffett is under consideration for Behind the Music, CMT's Inside Fame would probably be a more likely vehicle for his story but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one either.

Buffett said in an interview there is no need since he is neither washed up or dead!

Though that's certainly true of the majority of the artists featured on Behind the Music I wouldn't say it's necessarily true of
all of them. Again, I say if anything like that were to happen it'd most like be CMT's Inside Fame. I honestly don't think he'll make A & E's Biography either but ya never know...

I wouldnt say they are ALL washed up,But--- Didnt they do one on Fleetwood Mac? I caught them by accident on the Today show I think. It was very painfull.---Now here we have a artist who has survived 30+ years.Has a catalog of gold and platinum albums,Sells out major concert venues, 2 books on N.Y.times best seller list-------Hell Y'all know the rest.I agree they will probably never do one.Maybe theres just not enough tragedy in the story.Just some wishfull thinking on my part.

Yes there is a tragedy here.... not enough concerts.... and not enough
concert stops!

I think the "washed up thing" is a matter of opinion. They've done one on Aerosmith and while I'm not a fan of the majority of their latter day work, I'd definitely say they're still successful. I agree about the tragedy aspect of Buffett's story too, I just don't think there's enough to constiute what most Behind the Music's strive for which have always given them a tabloidy air. I heard on the radio the other day that they were working on one for Kansas but dropped it because there wasn't enough controversy. Guess that means the well's running dry over there at VH1 but I think everyone's already aware of that. What's next,
I Detest the 30s?

I would LOVE to see any channel do a biography/behind the music-style show on Jimmy. I'm addicted to those things. I watch documentaries on artists I don't even like!
But I imagine that VH1 probably doesn't consider Jimmy "hip" enough. Someday someone will put something together. He's been successful in music, writing, business, etc.,..someone will realize there's a neat story to be told.
