Re: Burning cd's
Is the disc a CD-r or CD-RW? I would try to burn it on a CD-R. They are more compatibable.MA_Buffett_Fan23 wrote:Ok guys I need help..

Re: Burning cd's
It plays in your stereo but not in your car? I can understand if it plays in our computer. Have you burnt other CDs before and they worked? Just making sure you didn't burn it as an MP3 disc which would play in your Compuer but not your car possibly.MA_Buffett_Fan23 wrote:CD-R 700 MB 52X Multi SpeedBuffett4ever wrote:Is the disc a CD-r or CD-RW? Older CD players have trouble reading CDRs for whatever reason. Mine in my car sometimes reads them fine and sometimes has trouble. Same with my dad's old CD player in his house - it was inconsistent in its ability to recognize CDRs.
How old is the CD player?

It's a 1997 vehicle... It's odd b/c a CD-R 650 MB works in my car but not a 700 MB... I just figured that out when I looked at another cd... How can I tell if it's burned on a cd as an MP3??

Try burning the CD at a slower speed. I had the same problem with one of my cars and I droped the burn speed to 20X (granted it takes longer) but it seemed to clear up the problem.
Searching is half the fun: life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party.

Windows Media Player will "load" a burning software that is already on your computer. If its the Roxia Basic Applete that loads, click options, look at burn speed and change it to 16x, 24x, etc. and click ok, then burn. If something else loads besides Roxio let me know. Otherwise, that should do the trick.MA_Buffett_Fan23 wrote:Windows media playerdjtommyt wrote:What software are you using to burn the cd?

the problem is the 700 vs. 650 MB disc size. the little dots that get burned in the disc are a little closer together on 700MB disc vs. 650 discs. older players tend not to be able to read the closer spaced dots of 700 MB discs. try re-burning it on a 650 MB disc and it should work.....
