I stopped by a Sam's Club today and was surprised to see lots of Buffett CD's for sale. LTC, MMIM, at the regular low prices, but also available for $6.76 AIA,CILCIA, One Particular Harbor, Fruitcakes, Coconut Telegraph, Living and Dying, and maybe a few others. I rearranged the music section slightly to give JB a little more exposure for other lucky PH's.

It ended up a classic Buffett display, starting with A1A and moving forward, for an unsuspecting PH, it had to be a great moment. One person probably not a PH said, I didn't know they had Buffett here, for a true fan looking to add a few then at $6.76 it can't get any better, except at the Dollar Tree!

The one near me in Georgia has the box set at a really great price. I can't remember the amount, but think it was under $30.

Thinking about buying another just to have a back-up.

It pretty much happens every Fall. Retailers are offered deep discounts on catalog product. With limited bin space and open to buy dollars, it's about the only way to keep catalog in the stores. Too many big 4th quarter releases will eat up space and money.

I purchased the box set (BBBB) at Sam's Club at the end of July. It was only $36 which is the least expensive I had ever seen, so I just had to buy it.

I owe you one wanderingtoes!!!!

Gurnee IL had:

A1A
Living and Dying in 3/4 Time
Changes in Latitudes
1 Particular Harbour
Coconut Telegraph
Banana Wind
Barometer Soup
Fruitcakes
MMIM
LTC

The 1st 8 were all $6.76

I got the 1st 5, as I only had them on LP! Will have to check back to see if they get any more!

My only complaint is, they don't have the original artwork and liner notes. (I only said this for the benefit of Parrot Monkey - sorry!) :D 8)

I picked up a few more myself to replace some that have taken too many road trips. For $6.76 got to be the best buy in America, except for Mac at the $$$$ Tree. Glad you were able to find them at your Sam's.

Actually, A1A does have all the text inside the insert. Not that it excuses them from leaving off the back cover and gatefold photos, but it's a step up and much less disrespectful to the band and the people who worked hard on the album.

Maybe their clearing out these old 80s CDs for remasters? Probably not, but we can only hope.
