Which discount department store do you abhor?
Which discount department store could you simply not live without?
Where do you buy your thongs? (just kidding!!)

Shopping is a woman thing. As far as I'm concerned, if the store has what I'm looking for and the price is right I don't care what the sign over the door says.

K-Mart sucks. At least the one in Waukesha does.
None. I usually drive farther to go to Wal-Mart than K-Mart, with Target being even farther away. I could live without any of them, though.
I don't. I just steal them from the laundry room.

(JUST KIDDING!)

Would you drive out of your way to save $1.00 on a bottle of shampoo?

When you only go through one bottle per year, it's not exactly a big expense.

mmmm..... okay, away from the visual, and back to the question at hand:
a) K-Mart, as a result of their bankruptcy saw fit to close all their really good stores (the Super Ks) in Columbus and the metro area. This left the ones that had already acquired the classic "K-Mart Smell" for the most part, and not even all of those. As a result, I have no idea where the nearest surviving one is, and don't shop the Big Red K.
b) Wal-Mart.... One is just down the road from me, and I avoid it like the plague for the first week of the month, and after 5p. Unless I want to watch a circus, populated by creatures created by generations of random unprotected sex at county fairs, alleys, and backstreet bars.
c) Target, yes. Even the one on the edge of the Hilltop seems to have the reputation of being too upscale for residents there, so they go to Wal-Mart and leave the Greatland Targets alone. A very pleasant shopping experience, even for clothes. Big wide aisles, decent lighting, and no funky smells. Definitely the destination for buying bulk stuff, and household cleaning supplies. (and flipflops.

)
I don't wear thongs, but if I were to do that... I'm voting for fishnet..

I went with Target, but I'm not sure they are going for the "discount" chain anymore. I went by today to pick up a basic backpack. Except for the kiddie backpacks, they were all $40-50.
Needless to say, I'm back at L.L. Bean's website going for the 100% guarantee.

I've noticed that about Target and some of the pricier items. I'd rather spend just $5 or $10 more and get the quality guarantee from an item.

I usually go to wal mart, but only because its closer. And its pretty much just go in, get whatever it is that I need to get, pay, and leave. Not really into spending alot of time in the store.

Target is my favorite, but others who posted were definitely right about their prices. I view Wal Mart as a necessary evil. I hate going there, but sometimes, I just gotta. The KMart in my town sucks. It is always a last resort.

I CANT BELIEVE TARGET IS BEATING WAL-MART. WAL-MART IS CHEAPER!!!
