My vote goes to OPH, only because it is very uplifting when played live.
And despite its "over-recognition", just based on what I have read recently, I think Margaritaville is pretty good too. I am so used to the big CRB version, and the bar band renditions. But when I listen to the original studio version...it seemed pretty innovative for its time.
Also, I know Jimmy didn't write it, but Coast of Marsailles is a great, great song!

I don't think that I can put a nail into ONE EXACT JB song that I would label as "my favorite", just because I enjoy all of his stuff, HOWEVER, if I were to try, I would say "Pirate Looks at Forty" would be that song.
PHINS UP!!!
PHINS UP!!!
We sailed from the port of indecision
Young and wild with oh so much to learn
Days turn into years as we tried to fool our fears, But to the port of indecision I returned.

Speedo Bob wrote:Definently Far Side Of The World and OPH. These two are the best for making old Bobby Boy's chest plus back hair go wild. After those songs are played the Prince Of Bluberness has to go up stairs and get mom to comb the Speedo Mans back from all the hairs standing up.
You are one strange man Bob.....I love it.
My favorite song would have to be a tie between Tin Cup Chalice, A Pirate Looks at Forty, and Floridays.
I'm back to livin' Floridays

You forgot one... just look at your user namePascagoula Runner wrote:Tough One!!!Sorry, I couldn't come up with one, but ten.
In no particular order. Simply different reasons for different seasons...
![]()
1) A Pirate Looks At 40
2) One Particular Harbour
3) Fruitcakes
4) Margaritaville ("Calyope" sp??? instrumental very innovative)
5) Last Mango In Paris
6) Blue Heaven Rendevouz
7) Far Side Of The World
Barefoot Children In The Rain
9) African Friend
10) Creola
OPH is one of my favorites, but Pascagoula Run tops them all for me!

A tough Call!!!!!!
I must say this list has surprised me. One Particluar Harbor is one of my least favorite Buffett songs and I have often remarked that I could not understand why he always played it at his shows. I KNOW NOW!!!!!! Didn't even fathom it was that popular among the Parrotheads!!
As for the question, Cowboy In the Jungle just works on every level.
