What do you think is the best Buffett song, not your favorite but the best written one lyrically and musically?

It's my favorite, but because I think it blends all of the componants that make a great JB song....One Particular Harbor. The lyrics are about escapism, the music flows through several styles, some of the lyrics are in a foreign tongue.

I would have to agree as well. OPH just makes the hairs all over my body stand up on end.
I think Last Mango is also very musically strong. Doesn't have the power of OPH though.

I love Last Mango musically, but I think lyrically it's a bit weaker. The music is enought to carry it, though, and it IS one of my faves.

Exactly. It's great music. But it doesn't get me fuzzy like OPH does.

I LOVE the version of "He Went To Paris" on the M.M.I.M. double-C.D., but I'll go with "Far Side of the World," followed VERY closely by "A Pirate Looks At 40."

Tough One!!!

Sorry, I couldn't come up with one, but ten.

In no particular order. Simply different reasons for different seasons...
1) A Pirate Looks At 40
2) One Particular Harbour
3) Fruitcakes
4) Margaritaville ("Calyope" sp??? instrumental very innovative)
5) Last Mango In Paris
6) Blue Heaven Rendevouz
7) Far Side Of The World

Barefoot Children In The Rain
9) African Friend
10) Creola

Definently Far Side Of The World and OPH. These two are the best for making old Bobby Boy's chest plus back hair go wild. After those songs are played the Prince Of Bluberness has to go up stairs and get mom to comb the Speedo Mans back from all the hairs standing up.

Love & Luck
Obviously I take it deeper to heart than some, but seriously, that's all we really need to get by in life.
Love what you do.
Love who you're with.
Be loved by family, friends and strangers.
Luck out from time to time.
Be lucky enough to enjoy your life each day as if it were your last.
