One of my buddies went to the Sox game last night and said the field looked really beat-up, especially centerfield, I watched a few plays on tv, the field looked kind of worn to me, also.
He's already giving me crap since the Sox lost 2 straight since Buffett played!
How were the Fenway shows?

I went to the game last night and the area the stage was in had some rough parts. Jonny Damon said it looked worse than it was. From our seats you could see the grass was discolored. It was hard to believe I was at the same place less than 48 hours prior for Buffett.....

Did anybody else catch the "senior moment" Friday night when he screwed up the lyrics to "Southern Cross"? He said "eighty feet of waterline" in place of "And the downhill run to Papeete". Then repeated it in it's normal place.
Any senior moments from Sunday?

I give the show a c+ as well.
I saw him in 3 differrent venues this season... Columbus (indoor arena), Camden, NJ (shed) and Fenway, sunday. The Columbus show was the best overall!! ALthjough I prefer to see him outdoors, cause it has a better overall cool, breeze to it, the crowd was perfect, the sound was perfect (and it helps that our seats were perfect). Camden was great being outside and seeing the river, but I was on the lawn (prefer Pavillion but I'll take what I can get) and the sound was nowhere near as good as it should have been. Fenway was a great show, and our seats were quite good, but I was disappointed in the venue itself... WAY too crowded. I felt like a sardine. Tiny seats! The woman in front of us wanted to stand on her seat, we asked her not to and she gave us a dirty look... Mind you she was in the row directly behind the dugout with NO-ONE infront of her for 10 feet... it's not like she couldn't see.
Okay... just my 2-cents. I hope Jimmy had a great time, but even having never been to Great Woods, I think it's a better place for Jimmy to play!
Saving my money for next year!!

It was way too crowded. Mostly it just is a place not made for concerts and the crew was pretty clueless on crowd control. and it was Jimmy after all so it was good. It just attracted alot of non parrotheads too. I did notice Jimmy was coughing alot on Friday, wonder what was wrong? He sounded ok tho

I have to give the show a 9.5 at least. Jimmy was full of energy and you could tell the band was having a great time; all smiles! I totally agree that Great Woods is a much better venue and I hope that he returns next year for sure. However, for a change of pace, Fenway was a really cool experience & life time memory. Besides, would you rather see him play at Yankee Stadium!

yankee stadium would be tough, for one the parking is terrible there, and i'm not sure what the bar scean is like around yankee stadium.shea stadium has the parking lot.the thing that worries me about greatwoods next year is the golf tournament has a 2 more year agreement for labor day weekend.there is no parking at the tpc boston, so they are almost forced to use the greatwood site.he could do jones beach again on the saturday before laborday.maybe a swing through hartford that tuesday( will never happen), then greatwoods on thursday, saturday after labor day.
