It's David Lindley from Jackson Browne's band but he also does his own thing on the side. He's been out doing some gigs with John Hiatt as of late as well. If you like the island sound, he might just be your cup o' tea. There's some sound clips on the ordering page on his web site if you wanna check him out.

Thanks. I listened to some sound clips on iTunes and he sounds pretty good . . . I see that he did Mercury Blues, did he do that before or after Alan Jackson?
Before. I've heard Steve Miller's version too but I think it dates back even further than that.

I like the Drive By Truckers. The song they do about G. G. Allen is hilarious!

Great performance of "Never Gonna Change" last night with Jason Isbell out front with some blistering leads. Can't wait to see 'em with Allison Moorer who apparently now has former Georgia Satellite Dan Baird in her band.

I saw Dan Baird playing guitar in Todd Sniders former band, the Nervous Wrecks, a few years ago.

Dan has some good solo stuff out as well.

Thanks for asking - I've wondered the same thing myself.

Speaking of avatars, I mentioned in another thread that I love your new avatar DsilCaribe! I also love your sig line! Seeing your posts makes me happy, no matter what you write!

I'm also a big fan of Dan's work with the Yayhoos if you're familiar with them. They do a wonderful cover of Abba "Dancin' Queen" that's best enjoyed live.
