TATS #41 Again

Trip Around The Sun is #41 again on this weeks Billboard chart. With 3 weeks on the chart it has been 45,41 and 41. Radio just hasn't jumped on this song yet. And that's what it will take. Keith Urban is #1 this week on radio alone. No commercial single, no video.

I didn't think that was a good pick for single #2. In my very humble opinion I find it to be an extremely dull song. I think the thought was with both Jimmy and Martina so "hot" these days that it would take off.

I'm surprised that the title track with an equally "hot" Kenny Chesney would've been a better pick (especially if they released it in July with its summer/feel good vibe).

Just my 2 cents.

Remember, country radio is a SLOOOOOOW chart climb these days, unless you're Tim McGraw. It takes awhile, and a good promotion team, to get a song moving.

I would think, that with Martina being on RCA also, they'd be working this one hard. It may take a while, but I still have high hopes for it.

I LOVE this song, for the record.

Has anyone heard when the video is being released? I'm curious to see what effect that will have on the single's chart performance, if any.

I don't know that a video is being done....I think most people assumed that one would be shot in Chicago when Martina showed up, but Jimmy never mentioned this and I don't believe it happend.

originally I thought this was a good choice for a single but it appears to have fell flat.
Maybe he should have went with "Sea of Heartbreak" or "Piece of Work".
