He used to be listed on the Grand Ole Opry's website.

He's not a "member" but I'm sure that he has performed there.

The CMA Awards show was in the Grand Ole Opry house last November. Image

He played there about 8 years ago or so. I wish he would come back, though...it would be the only chance for a Nashville show. Also, if you look at the neck of his guitar on one of the pictures on the inside of LTC, it says Grand Ole Opry on it.

He played there, but it was a regular show...he wasn't apart of the GOO show with Porter Wagner and everyone.

If it gets him to Nashville, why not? Maybe they'll induct him. Yeah, that's the ticket, they'll induct him! 8) 8) 8)

Cool to know he's already played there and am amazed to see that some still think he's totally abandoned his island sound when it's all over the new record (just as his country and Caribbean influences have always been).

I can't imagine him on the Opry stage on a Saturday night. I wonder if he would eat a Goo Goo!!!

A full show in the Ryman would be awesome.

A full show in the GEC would be better!

The Ryman's too small, none of us would get tickets.

I'm attending my first show at the Ryman soon (R.E.M.) and can't wait to finally visit the Mother Church of country music. Maybe they'll play their cover of "Witchita Lineman" in honor of Glen Campbell.

Personally, I would like to find a way to pettition HEAVILY to get Jimmy to play the HALF-TIME SHOW at the next SUPERBOWL! After last year's fiasco, they should WELCOME someone woh is reputable and without reproach. After all, Jimmy also has kids and I believe would be sensitive to the problems that the year's show has caused. SO!!! Anyone have any ideas how we could get this accomplished?

One more thing I'd like to see, Jimmy and Sammy Hagar!
Mr Margaritaville and Mr Cabo Wabo! I think THAT would be a GREAT show AND a GREAT album!!!!!!!!!!!

Please respond!

I can't say I agree with wanting to see Buffett perform at the Superbowl. I am all for more nudity at sporting events though just so long as it's not Janet's brother.

I think they would be a good match for CMT's Crossroads show.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against nudity....so long as it not, as you said, Janet's brother. But Jimmy would still be a great show! Also there is a place for nudity, and that is NOT where my young grandkids are OR my 73 year old mother..............well, who knows, my Mom could probably USE a bit of a SHOCK once in a while :pirate: har har har
