I don't know if it is but looking at this picture of I-10 in Pensacola nothing would surprise me. All you can do is hope for the best for everyone affected.

Their website just says they are riding out Ivan, appreciate the good wishes, and will post updates as soon as they can.

I heard that the area around Perdido & Orange Beach including the bridge got hit pretty hard. Also hear that a section of a new multi-million $ pier on Navarre Beach is gone.

I hope Dauphin Island to the west is still there!

Just got a text message from Kev (Hsv Parrothead) saying the 'Bama is GONE. Circuits are all busy or down so can't get a call thru, left him a VM to call back.

Dang, and we were making big plans in the MSC to celebrate my 40th bday with all my BN buddies at the 'Bama or LuLu's or both.

What I could find on a local forum there indicates FloraBama is gone.

No indication on Lulu's but given her location....

Hope she is ok...

On CNN website:

It was a different story in nearby Gulf Shores, Alabama, where water as high as 6 feet covered much of the barrier island.

An emergency services representative from Baldwin County, Alabama, toured the Gulf Shores area and expressed dismay.

"Orange Beach [east of Gulf Shores] all the way down to what was the FloraBama, it is no longer there. I just can't express the devastation that's there. Just every single condo or hotel, rental unit, had some extensive damage," she told reporters.
