Umm... I like the song "The Power of Love" from the BTTF soundtrack. It's a great song, Huey Lewis and the News is a great band and the whole soundtrack is a great one from one of my favorite films. I woulden't even compare Jimmy and Huey Lewis, their styles of music are so different and superior in their own ways.

One thing I must say is the soundtrack is a little flawed. It's missing "Mr. Sandman" (which is played at an obvious point in the film) and only has two tracks from Alan Silvestri's (sp?) score.

Still, I have to ask: What made you think of comparing The Power of Love to Jimmy's works? :-?

To answer the odd question, no, I can't say it's ever happened to me.

that it edges out Buffett music for you, or that some other folks could like it more?

All I will say is that Maxim Magazine did a story a few years back about the 20 worst albums of all time and included a Huey Lewis album...calling that group the "kings of souless robopop"....truer words have never been spoken.
