He supports Osma Bin Laden both philosophically and financially. They said it and he agreed.
Let's not forget that our own government once supported Bin Laden to a MUCH greater degree.
Also regarding Cat Stevens, an article he wrote in the Guardian in the weeks following 9/11 tells a very different story Yusuf Islam on September 11

It could actually be argued that it starts with removing the military from certain places globally.
I AGREE,BUT IF THAT IS TO BE DONE THAN WE SHOULD REMOVE EVERYTHING FROM THOSE FOREIGN COUNTRIES,INCLUDING ALL THE FINANACIAL AID,THEIR ABILITY TO COME TO THIS COUNTRY FOR THEIR FREE SCHOOLING AND ALL THE OTHER THINGS THAT THE REST OF THE WORLD MANAGES TO LEECH OFF OF US.PUT THE MILITARY ON OUR BORDERS AND KEEP EVERYONE OUT AND OUR INTERESTS SAFE

Man, that would really screw up a lot of our vacation camping trips to Canada. As a border state, we freely and frequently zip back and forth between U.S. and Canada.....And the Canadians do likewise......

My question is: In a country where one is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt (at least that is the theory...); how does one make the "no-fly list" when one's biggest threat is having spoken out against a government policy?
maybe cuz he's not a citizen? (is he? I don't know for sure)
it's unfortunate, but times like these, you have to be skeptical...and it's even more unfortunate that I think it's high time that the US examines it's immigration laws.... I don't know how to do it... but something inside me says if you aren't a citizen here, then you don't have an automatic RIGHT to come here.... it's sad to say....but I see no end to terrorism or war until the world re-evaluates this mass movement towards mass globalization.... we are NOT one big happy family that can be one big happy society.... the pressure to move that way is our biggest downfall....
What about refugees? Sudanese? Serbian/Bosnian? etc?
Our country has to keep our borders open to them.
And what about how much our national economy is dependant on foreign workers? Sorry... but if you like your standard of living, you better hope and pray we don't start limiting immigration to the U.S.

Keep everyone out? Even from visiting?? We love to travel and would hate to see the same applied to us. Our trip to Ireland, all of our Caribbean vacations....???

so that would solve the thousands of illegals that pour into this country everyday...??? I respectfully disagree.
Most of the 9/11 hijackers had visas (though they all violated immigration laws either prior to or after arrival which would have invalidated them). I don't believe that Timothy McVeigh even required a visa to commit his act. I’m not saying that increased patrols & military presence along our borders won’t help, just that there are much greater needs.

I GUESS VISITING WOULD BE OK.ALTHOUGH THE SAME ALREADY DOES APPLY TO US IN A WAY.IT ISNT SAFE FOR U.S. CITIZENS TO TRAVEL TO ALOT OF OTHER COUNTRIES.THEY MAY NOT TECHNICALLY FORBID IT BUT THEY MIGHT AS WELL

WHY?I SEE NO NEED FOR THEM TO BE HERE
Funny that someone would argue to deny refugees access to a country founded by refugees.
Exactly... especially considering that there are millions of people being slaughtered by the leaders of their own countries in the name of "ethnic cleansing" or various other heinous rationales.
It's a matter of compassion and duty to allow refugees access to the U.S.

WE HAD ROOM FOR THEM THEN,WE DO NOT NOW.
I'm with Tom 100% on this one. We can't feed, shelter, and employ the people we have here now, and as far as I'm concerned we need to take care of ourselves first. That's where our true duty should lie.

AND PLENTY OF U.S. SOLDIERS HAVE DIED TO STOP IT,I DONT HOWEVER SEE THEM DOING ANYTHING FOR US.THEY WONT EVEN SUPPORT OUR PEOPLE WHEN WE ARE THERE TO HELP THEM.SO I SAY THIS IS NOT OUR PROBLEM AND WE SHOULD NOT GET INVOLVED

Oh great, go and f*ck up one of the few truly pristine states we have left.
So by using the word "refugees" that implies they are undesireable? As someone already mentioned, this country was founded by refugees. I heard Alaska had plenty of room too.
