How Much Would You Pay for Dinner With Jimmy?

Post by Parrotdude »

Godiva Chocolatier is now running a "Celebrity Dinner Auction" on eBay with bidding on dinners with Sarah Jessica, Ricky Martin, Benjamin Bratt, Leonardo DiCaprio or Ben Affleck (at this writing highest bid is dinner with Jessica at $15,400) with proceeds going to celebrity's charity of choice ( see http://members.ebay.com/ws2/eBayISAPI.d ... ivatruffle ) (Auction over 10/3--link no longer valid). Which brings the question...what would you pay for Dinner With Jimmy, and what and where would it be? (proceeds, of course, to his charity).

If I go to dinner with someone -I want it to be because THEY also chose to be there ..

so answer to the question - nothing .... cause I wouldn't go.

screw the money - I'm cheap too so I would have to resort to sexual favors. And after that - I know he would want me to be there too :)

I'm still hoping to run into him at an off the road bar sometime and sing a couple songs with him.

Maybe it's me.. but did you notice the list of "stars" mentioned all include folks out of work/out of the public eye now?

No way I am paying for the privilege of paying for their dinner..

Shoot... I'd settle for a fish sandwich and hot sauce on a boat in the Gulf. No need to do the Blue Heaven Rendezvous or anything. :)

I heard he was using that as an excuse to write off another cycle of therapy as "occupation-related stress" :D

I'd offer him some fly-fishing at my brother's lodge again and we'd all eat the Atlantic Salmon we caught!!!! He liked it there in '98!

I'd probably go as high as a couple hundred dollars, since it's going to charity.

As for where? Somewhere nondescript that has great seafood. Either in a marina or overlooking the water, so we can talk about boats, or the water.

Oh, what the hell....... if I get to have dinner anywhere, make it seafood in Maui..... :P
