Hey LJ!
My daughter is now 18 and a sophmore in College.....Took her to her first concert when she was 10. Birthday present...It was the winter tour, here in Florida...

But she loved singing "Jolly Mon" all the time...I finally figured out why....She could say the word "Hell" and I didn't scold her...

We talked about that the other day and laughed .........

Also she didn't like sleeping by herself...Always ended up in my bed...and at 9 yrs old, it was a bit much.
When "Delaney talks to Statues" came out...we were riding in the car and singing it...and when the part that said "when I tuck her neath the covers" came on..I stopped the music and asked her if she knew what that meant...
She replied..."Yes. It means she sleeps by herself"....and she has slept in her own bed , all night, ever since then!

:D

I always made someone else take Laura in for shots....

Being a nurse, it should not have bothered me...but it did. And I got to comfort her later....

Glad he is doing so much better!!!!

Yes...Laura was premature and her little feet were black and blue when I brought her home from all the needle sticks....
Then she had pneumonia when she was 5 months old....I had to leave when they were trying to find a vein to draw blood! I finally made them stop and went and got someone from OR unit..People that can slam dunk IV's and find a vein on anyone!

Good Luck with the shots! (take someone with you to hold him!! )

In Atlanta last year, I ended up partying with a couple that was there with a daughter and grand keet. The next day, they were off to Nashville to do it again with different daughter and grand keet.

I've shared this one here before, but, my grandson who is four was in the car and "I will play for gumbo" came on. He started to sing but didn't know the words. after it was over, he started telling my wife "PLAY IT AGAIN NAMIE" so, of course she did.....over and over. I'm not too sure he understands some of the lyrics and I hope he dosen't but, he can sing it now in it's entirety, and I now have to make gumbo when he comes for visits. His mom can't believe it as she's not a phan at all. The only thing I can think is that it must skip a generation!!! I'm proud of the boy
