Birthday Reflection

I'm turning 49 tomorrow, thanks I know I look 50. Been a JB fan since 1977- over half my life. I think he's been a very good influence on me. Lots of singing out loud. Lots of great shows. Many albums and songs that have made me smile or reflect. I still haven't met the man, but I've been close. His songlines have led to Bob Marley, Steve Goodman, Jerry Jeff walker & John Prine.

As this Parrot Begins a Look at 50 and starts another trip around the sun, Jimmy long may we run. See you next summer at Jones Beach.

i know what you mean.. today is the BIG 40..i have 21 month old twins ..a beautiful wife and a mortgage almost finished and an excellent job.. i love looking back at my life but looking forward just looks so much better right now.. i like to think JB helped me with my changes in attitude. the younger guys who work for me tell me they want my attitude when they hit 40..I smile and i think of growing older not up... what a perfect song for parrotheads..
