Start looking and listening around you each day.. and see how many times this number (and sometimes variations with 420, 4,200, etc.) comes up in conversations, on the news, or things you read. Once you start, you’ll never stop.

42 is also the only number retired by every Major league baseball team (I believe if a player was already wearing ti they could keep it) in honor of Jackie Robinson.

The address on my house is 518.
If you add the numbers 5+1+8, the answer is 14.

The address on the building where I work is 3889.
If you add the numbers 3+8+8+9, the answer is 28.

If you add the 28 and the 14, the answer is 42!

And they tell me I don't do my homework. 8)
