I forgot about Willie.
A lot of people prolly do not realize how great a guitarist he is.
Especially on:
Pancho and Lefty
On the Road Again
City of New Orleans
Blue Skies

Just found a used copy of Honky Chateau on vinyl and was reminded of his awsome solo on the second song on there, "Mellow".

It was Clapton's helicopter, but they switched at the last minute.

They were flying from Alpine Valley to the hotel I worked at. We were stunned when we found out why it wasn't coming. At the time, we thought it was Clapton.

i may be in the minority but i think stevie blows clapton away as far as blues guitarists go.not that i wish clapton had died but if one of them had to go i wish they hadnt switched.

Last night at the Vote for Change concert, Nils Lofgren of the E Street Band absolutely blew up the place on a tune called Youngstown!!!

Anyone attending any of these shows, keep an ear for it!!

Nils is a great, and I think, very underappreciated guitarist.

When I saw the Stones 2 years ago Ron Wood did a great solo on "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" and about halfway through Bobby Keyes joined in on sax and it was without a doubt the best sax solo I've ever heard. It blew me away (no pun intended).

I am a big SRV fan but I am a little suprised no one has said anything by Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin. Whole Lotta Love, and the end of The Ocean are the two that stick out to me but there are a lot more great ones.
