Very sad.

He was on Howard Stern a few months ago promoting his book and he said he was doing well health wise. Rodney (his real name is Jacob Cohen) was someone I never wanted to miss when he was on Carson, Leno or Leterman.
He paved the path from many and will be missed.

"The respect-craving comedian Rodney Dangerfield, 82, died Tuesday after awaking from a coma to kiss his wife and smile at his doctors."
Good to hear that at least, god bless him and his family!

Sail on Rodney. Al Czervik and Thornton Melon will be missed.
This is the best part:
The respect-craving comedian Rodney Dangerfield, 82,
died Tuesday after awaking from a coma to kiss his wife and smile at his doctors.

He surprised the crowd at his club in NYC many years ago when I was there. He did a 20 minute standup that was one of the funniest things I ever heard. NO ONE....and I MEAN NO ONE could make a room laugh harder.....sail on Rodney
