Peter Mayer question

Post by Creola »

A funny thing happened today at the hospital.....(I had one of those Parrothead moments). I took my Great Aunt in for an endoscopy. While I was in the exam room with her waiting for the doctor, I noticed the music coming from the speaker above my head, it was soft but clear...."Does the moonlight shine on Paris after the sun goes down......" BUT it wasn't Peter Mayer singing it, it was a female in a soft jazz/R & B style. Does anyone know who it was? It didn't sound like Nadirah. It was so bizarre! I wanted to share this but I also want to know who else is singing "Moonlight Over Paris".

Finz Up!

Okay...I think I just answeres my own question....I Googled Moonlight Over Paris and it came up "Vanessa Williams" it also came complete with the lyrics to back it up.

Bizarre....am I the only one that didn't know this? I know I sometimes live under a rock but.....

So, has anyone else ever heard it? Its actually pretty by her.

That was probably the version by Vanessa Williams that you heard.

I like Peters version better too, but hers is a pretty rendition, different feel. I like that song anyway and I think she did a good job. Not a fan of hers, but hey.
