Also, leaving the computer on isn't an option cause as soon as I leave my relief takes over the computer.... Thanks though dude! I'll look into it more tomorrow!BottleofRum wrote:OK.
Open a new mail message. Type all the info you wnat to include inc. to name, subject and body.
At the top menu bar click on VIEW then OPTIONS , put a check mark in the box next to DO NOT DELIVER BEFORE and fill in the date and time....... then hit send, it will sit in your OutBox until the time you set.....
Then Go home!
Onlt draw back is you have to keep your Outlook open so turn off your monitor.
open a new msg like you were sending an email and then you'll find it. The tool bar will be slightly different
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.

Your company probally used an Exchange server, in which case you wouldn't have to leave your Outlook open.
NYCPhead,
Are you using Outlook or Outlook Express?

I was going to suggest sending a test email to yourself to see if the 'time stamp' thing works, Shane.
You can also bring up the "Task Manager" and 'lock' your computer, then you'd be ok to leave your Outlook open. But you said someone needs to use the computer after you leave.
But then I thought more.. Your IT department can see the times that you log in and out, so if you send the email at 3:30, and you log of at 3:00? That can be viewed.
Is it worth the possibility of losing your job over 1/2 hour?
Just a few thoughts..

The IT department and my boss have no lines of communication so I'm not worried about that.SMLCHNG wrote:But then I thought more.. Your IT department can see the times that you log in and out, so if you send the email at 3:30, and you log of at 3:00? That can be viewed.![]()

And, I would run multiple tests before doing it for real so I could be sure that there was no way that they would know. As for getting fired, I'm a government employee so the most I would get is a lecture. They can't fire us without some sort of act of congress.
But, I'm beginning to think there isn't a way. I did the "Don't deliver until" thing but it still timestamps it for the time it was written...
