She wanted to Jimmy so bad just once in her life.
She had a ball until the concert ended and we went

STOLEN

!!!
I know Parrotheads don't do thing like that,
but how could ANYONE even think of stealing a
person's wheelchair

Unbelievable. Why can't people just leave well enough alone? ESPECIALLY a wheelchair for crying out loud.

Where did they have you put the wheelchair? If they don't have handicapped seating where people can sit in their wheelchairs, they should be able to secure them. If not, I would hope the MGM is buying you a new one.....that's just inexcusable.

We were in a handicapped section with a great view.
It was a spot with a ramp then we could get her into
a seat. The usher put the wheelchair about 20ft away...
it was in our view if we turned to look at it. It was there
5 minutes before the end of the concert...
then we waited for the rush to get off the stands
before bringing it back up..so it would not bother anyone
getting out...by that time it was gone!
Security did look for it , but you know what it is like after a concert-
mass confusion.
It took some talking until the MGM security allowed us
to borrow one from the hotel and take it across to the
San Remo. They said if they didn't find it in the hotel
they will file an insurance claim. Mom is without a wheelchair
until this is resolved. She can walk, but only short distances,
very slowly.

Wheelchair theft? Now that's not right. I guess the thief figured it was extra as opposed to not in use. Either way, not cool.
Thanks for the update, looking forward to the San Diego show and Vegas. The FINS BUS is warmed up, stocked up, and ready to go!

Mom had Caribbean Soul stickers all over the
sides. It was very obviously a personal chair.
She took the theft pretty well actually. Much better
that the rest of us. She thought she should go down and
tell Jimmy what happened.
I told her that maybe she could write him a letter

That is just awful ....... I hope, that when they "sober up" that they realise what they have done and return it and have a major guilt trip

That's what I was thinking, Creeky.....a drunk PH went for a ride and abandoned the chair somewhere.....sad, no matter what the intent was....glad your Mom has a decent attitude about it. If she's 74 and going to a Buffett concert......RIGHT ON!

having watched a trio of drunken frat rats going thru the parking lot at Alpine punching rear-view mirrors, it doesn't surprise me; and it is a sad comment on the mentality of some of the concert-goers.
