Have you tried something from a song or tv show?

Never have I ever trusted my life to something from a song/show.

Tried something because you heard it in a song or saw it on tv?

Just wondering, because I tried a drink the other night that I had heard in a song. I thought there was no way it could be any good, but to my surprise its probably my new boat drink.

Erik "The Whaleshark" Pietsch (who if you haven't heard, you need to!) has a song called "3 Shot Story". The mix calls out "2 shots Captain Morgan and one Parrot Bay / shaken twice over ice and a lime."

What have you tried that surprised you?

It actually came from the book "Don't Stop The Carnival" where the staple drink is a Planters Punch...... The characters in the book were always drinking them, so I investigated them, made a few, got super hammered from them like no other drink can do and fell in love with them.... I use some light rum, dark rum, 151 rum, pineapple juice, grenadine and ice......... Shake it up, garnish with a lime and orange wedge and make no further plans for the day or night as you will be drinking them until you fall down........

I recently bought the Warren Brothers Album after watching their show Barely Famous.

Those dudes are funny, and their music is actually really freaking good.

I didn't buy it, but the infomercial for the "Banjo Minnow" is very convincing. I'm not a fisher-woman but I REALLY REALLY wanted a Banjo Minnow.

I once saw a guy on TV drinking beer. It seemed crazy, but I decided to give it a try. Suffice it to say I was quite pleased with the results.

Some years back, I was driving home from Colorado and I was heading west on Route 66 (I-40) when I passed a sleepy town called Winslow, Arizona. :o

Yep, had to turn around, pull into this town, and take a picture of myself
"standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona...." !

It really was not "such a fine sight to see...."
and no "girl in a flatbed Ford was slowin' down to take a look at me"!! :-?

I was bored, drunk and in a hotel alone in San Antonio eating a Whataburger about 2am and an infomercial with Victoria Principle came on about ProActive. It was an acne medication. It just so happened that every now and then my wife would get a few bad spots. It bothered her really bad and every thing she tried didn't work. So I ordered it for her. IT WORKED, it's still working for her.

Yup, Pirate looks at 40. "I have been drunk for over 2 weeks" and "I go for younger women" it was one heck of a 2 weeks in Key West it took me a week to recover.

Not from a song or TV show. However, I did once try something from a movie: When I was about 5 or 6 years old and and was hooked on The Land Before Time 2 (I watched it very often), I took some eggs out of the kitchen freezer, went in the backyard, dug a small hole, put them in and then sat on them. I can recall being impatient when nothing hatched.

Its a real shame though; no matter how many Monopoly sets I get, I can't seem to get enough money to buy Miami. :-?
