Cleaning up Total Recorder songs

Does anyone know if there is a program that can be used with total recorder to clean up and increase the quality of the shows recorded off Radio Margartaville. I know we can't get them to sound as good as the official Mailboat cds, but I thought there would be a prgram out there to make it sound a little better. If any fellow Parrotheads have any information or help it will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

IMHO, you can't make it sound much better than what it is initially, no matter what. I do find that XMPlay makes a better recording than Total Recorder but that's just my opinion and it doesn't let you setup a timer. If you use it, make sure your screen saver doesn't kick in.
Then there are a slew of editors out there that can remove stuff like clicks & pops, but those aren't really the issue for us, are they? Our problems are either muddy sound due to poor compression or drop outs from internet congestion. Any editor can fix the second IF you have a recording from another source that did not get the drop out & splice them OR you can live with just jumping forward in the song to blip over the drop.

I personally like the audio plugins from Q sound - there is one for windows media player called iQms2 and one for real player called iQfx3. They are available for download at
www.qsound.com. I just think that they give the recording a much more live and spacious fell. just my two cents
