I don't see that as making fun of how I look.... that's in response to *my* joking suggestion that I change my hair color to hot pink. What was certainly implied about Chastity Bono is that she's ugly.
I hope you understand that I hold no resentment to you it just appeared that you came and jumped on a lot of people haveing fun because of what was posted over there.
nope. my reply was based solely on what was posted *here*... I hadn't even seen the DW post.
I can't think of anyone on these boards who has not talked about someone else behind their back in both a negative and postive light.
I can think of several people.
I'm not a beautiful person myself but I do have the ability to laugh not only at others but also myself.
I apologize for offending you and quite possibly hurting your feelings however I continue to feel that you took our conversation way too seriously.
Accepted. But we may have to disagree about how seriously I took the conversation. I have a *really* hard time with making fun of people, even celebrities, about looks and sexual orientation. I think it stinks.

Actually no, but I have to pull the seat so far up that if ever I were in an accident, however minor, the air bag is gonna kill me!
Can't you have the air bag disabled?
no
Why not?
since you cannot guarantee the the same person will always be driving the car the shop or tech who did it would be liable if an accident happened and someone else got hurt or killed.they could say that they were not aware that the airbags were disabled.
i know of no tech that would take the chance of getting sued over it.people ask us to do it all the time.we can actually disable the seatbelt warning chimes but we refuse to do that also.especially in MA.

I was trying to come up with some really incredible story about how I flew through the windshied, but I'm an honest person. The truth is I was riding in the front seat of a car that slammed into the rear end of the car in front of us. I wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Traveling at only 29 mph...that windshield was hard and unforgiving! Thank goodness I have a hard head, 'cuz that's what broke my fall!
OUCH!!!!!!!!! I glad you are here & able to talk about it.....
Thank you for accepting my apology. I've always liked you and never wanted to hurt your feelings.
There's a group of my friends that have known each other for as long as 30 years or longer. There are a couple in the group that really don't like us talking about each other - but we do. It's just understood that we do that. We don't say anything behind each other's back that we wouldn't say to each other's face. Sometimes there are hurt feelings - sometimes we have made one of our group cry. But the fact of the matter is we love each other tremendously and have the ability to not only laugh at ourselves - including our falts and negative traits - but others. And that laughter is sometimes our coping mechanism or therapy.
AM I RIGHT LINDA???
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.

Oh, ok. I thought you meant there was a mechanical reason it couldnt' be done. There are plenty of techs around here that will do such things on the hush hush if you know them well enough. Kind of how I have been driving for 13 years, had probably 10 vehicles, and have never had a vehicle inspected. I just go and pick up a few stickers once a year

Yep. We do it because we are family (not unlike several of the people here at BN) and that's what family does. They fight and they make up. At least they do in our family. And they will here also . . .
