What's your favorite version of WDWGDAS?
Over the last few years, when Buffett comes to town with a new tour, we have been treated to a new variant of one of the greatest love songs ever written - Why Don't We Get Drunk And S***w! I've listed the ones that I can remember. I wasn't sure about the FSOTW one. (Let me know if there is another version you would like added to the choices.) Vote for your favorite!

Oh yeah, forgot about those. Unfortunately, I just discovered I can only edit my posting but not the poll.RinglingRingling wrote:

Ditto!!!land_shark3 wrote:Last year's was good, but I like the Purple Rain version. Unfortunately, its not so much the LTC version as he picked it up sometime after the Atlanta show this Summer.
I liked the long version Jimmy did at the Oct. 16th show. Much longer than on the 23rd. Probably why he only had time for one Encore.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body; but rather to skid in PortSide, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming,
'What a lovely cruise!'

That has always been my first choice, the same goes for many of Jimmy's tunes that are performed live. Then again, sometimes the live versions are better.Jahfin wrote:The original studio version.

I enjoyed when Jimmy tried to two-step one year with some gal chosen from the crowd.
Domino College "safe sex theme" in Atlanta, 1995...was that it? Homecoming with Elvis (Fingers) singing WDWGD and then the homecoming queen came out to dance with Jimmy.
Who is Johnny Martini anyway?
Not sure about all this. Can anyone help?

I like plenty of versions of Buffett's songs live but since he's evidently so tired of this one he feels the need to do it differently nearly every time I'd go with the original arrangement.Donchuknow wrote:That has always been my first choice, the same goes for many of Jimmy's tunes that are performed live.
