When you have to referee a fight in the car between your 6 year old and 3 year old over whether we listen to "Fins" or "Volcano" first!!!!

Just this very morning our little Delaney was singing Thank God The Tiki Bar Is Open!
In between laughing we were wondering if we were bad parents. :D

Hey, I happen to have a Delaney too! She'll be 6 this Nov. 20, and can't wait to go to a JB show. It will be several years before this happens!

I don't know what this says but my keet who will be 4 on November 20th and is a big JB fan was sitting on our bed while my wife brushed her hair she started singing, "Bad boys bad boys what you gonna do. What you gonna do when they come for you!"

After listening to some of the live shows from a few years ago with my keets, my wife was kind of mad when they were shouting Tequila at the top of their lungs.

Victoria asked me on Friday if I would play her favorite song from License to Chill.

I asked her what it was.

She said "Simply Complicated".

I thought, "Oh Sh*t!"

Recently, I had to surrender my "Live In Hawaii" disc to my wife, because my almost 5 year old wanted to listen to "Tiki Bar" on the way to preschool. Is that a problem. He has also been known to throw out some obscure Buffett lyrics around people who don't even know SYKBH. He started singing "Watch out for that gravity storm" around a friend of ours and she just had this "I don't know what the hell are you talking about" look on her face. It was priceless.

Just got back from Florida. At the Waffle House dinner one night and my 5 year old keet saw the Juicebox (jukebox) and it had 5 o'clock Somewhere on it. They got a quarter out of me and played the song then proceede to sing every word for the whole place.
Gotta love them.

I was having a philosophical discussion with my 12 year old 'keet about "It's My Job"...we decided it doesn't matter what your job is as long as you do your best....and talked about different kinds of jobs and how they all fit together....she says, "Sort of like there gets to be one Jimmy Buffett and the rest of us get to be fins..." Yep, kinda like that!

I always skip over this when I'm listening with my 'keet, well, really most of the timel....but last time she said with pre-teen eyes rolled, "mom, you don't need to skip it, I know the stupid song."

Well My Delaney...

...was singing Margaritaville on a plane home a few weeks ago and like so many of you they both love Tiki Bar. When my son was Student of The Week in his 1st grade class (each child gets a week to be the star), they had a Buffet themes party and played Cheeseburger in Paradise ...guess they overlooked the reference to beer..lol!!!!!!!

I never imagined a parent-teacher conference with the phrase "you know you son really likes Jimmy Buffett"
