I want to comment briefly on the school/work vs Buffett debate. I am a college student and have made either the Dean's List or the President's List in all but one semester. I very rarely cut class. However, I do occasionally cut class. I never have for Buffett because I haven't needed to, but the times that I have cut class have been for trips. But, before I have cut class, I have always made sure that by missing class, I will not miss something such as a test that will really hurt me. If Buffett was coming to my town for a political rally, I would check my class schedules to see what is happening in my classes that day. If I had a test or something similar that would really hurt me, I would make the tough decision to go to class. Otherwise, I would cut class and go see Buffett.
In this way, I know that my classes are the most important. However, occasionally, I think that the more important thing (class) can take a back seat to the enjoyable thing (Buffett) if it won't hurt you badly. I mean, most jobs give you vacation days for just such situations. But, you can't always use your vacation days when you want-just as I may not be able to always cut class when I want if there is a test or something similar. I hope that YNONINO and his brother did not miss something that will really hurt them. If so, I feel they definitely made the right decision!
