I don't think it's too much to ask to include albums that were actually released in 2004 in a thread about your favorite releases of 2004.DsilCaribe wrote:i think you are taking this too seriously . . .are you taking a sceintific poll or something?? My bad.. Ignorance wasn't the right word. But really man.. You're not taking a scientific poll (are you?) so relax. If someone wants to post an album that didn't come out on 2004 let him! Good grief dude!Jahfin wrote:I fail to see how I'm being ignorant by kindly asking that only albums released in 2004 be included in a thread about your favorite releases of 2004.nycparrothead wrote:Jahfin, you've really reached new levels of ignorance. To include an album not released in 2004 in a thread devoted to your favorite releases of 2004 kind of defeats the purpose of the thread. If you can't list 10, list 5 but I don't think it's too much to ask to have people include 2004 releases, which is the purpose of the thread after all. I'm not sure what's so hard to understand about that.Jahfin wrote:I fail to see how I'm being ignorant by kindly asking that only albums released in 2004 be included in a thread about your favorite releases of 2004.nycparrothead wrote:Jahfin, you've really reached new levels of ignorance. yeah seriously Jahfin, take it easy. Why does it matter to you personally if i say my favorite album that i bought this year was released in 2001?? You need to get a life outside of message board, rollingstone.com, and billboard.com if you take this so seriously.nycparrothead wrote:Jahfin, you've really reached new levels of ignorance. this really started out as a nice thread until you ruined it by taking it way too seriously. Unless you are a professional scientific pollster i don't see whats such a big deal if i say that my favorite album i bought this year was released in 2001
I'm not sure what you find so hard to comprehend about a thread devoted to your favorite releases of 2004. Several others were able to contribute without one iota of complaining. As for who "ruined" the thread look no further than yourself and those that fail to adhere to what are very simple guidelines. An album released in 2001 just doesn't qualify for a thread about your favorite albums from 2004, it's as simple as that.DsilCaribe wrote:yeah seriously Jahfin, take it easy. No, I saw it. Seems you missed the title of the thread or for some reason just don't understand the purpose of it. If I was interested in having people list their favorite albums of 2001 I would titled the thread that, but I didn't.nycparrothead wrote:In case you missed it...

you're missing my point pal . . . . WHY THE HELL DOES IT MATTER TO YOU IF I SAY THAT THE BEST ALBUM I BOUGHT IN 2004 WAS RELEASED IN 2001 and why are you taking it so personally and seriously . .. does it really matter that much to you personally whether or not my its in 04' or 01', because it really seems that it does and thats kinda odd that it affects you like that. CHILL OUT!!!!!!! you really need to consider whats important. Why do you take everything so seriously???? Do you have OCD or something?? Does everything have to be perfect for you, does everything have to follow the guidlines?? If those are the rules you play by, then you must really have no friends. It sure seems that way around that way around these boardsJahfin wrote: I'm not sure what you find so hard to comprehend about a thread devoted to your favorite releases of 2004. Jahfin, take a chill . . . .life shouldn't be as serious as you make it. IT IS OK IF SOMEONE BENDS THE RULES A LITTLE BIT. THATS THE WAY LIFE GOES, NOTHING IS EVER PERFECT. YOU SEEM PRETTY SMART SO I'D THINK YOU WOULD KNOW THAT BY NOW.
Maybe you need to take a look at who's yelling. I haven't said one ill word to anyone, I merely asked folks to list their favorite albums that came out in 2004. If you're unable to do so, fine, but there's really no need to argue about it. I still don't understand what is so hard to follow about what is a very simple guideline. All i want from you is an answer to that question. It has amazed me since day one on these boards why you take it all so seriously. Isn't that what Jimmy Buffett, the man who brought us all together at these boards, tells us NOT to do?? You can either give me an answer right here or PM me, i really don't care.
I think trying to persuade a guy like Jahfin is pointless. He's stubbourn, and there's nothing any of us can do about that. From here on out i'll try my best get off his back, but keep this in mind Jah: If you ever wonder why no one likes you here (or possibly outside of the internet), its because you are such a stubbourn ass. Other people are sometimes right, Jah. Everything doesn't always go your way.

Sometimes there are more important things in life than what CD's we bought this year, and fighting about it.

Take a look at how you've behaved in this thread and perhaps you'll see who's taken it too seriously. I set a very easy set of guidelines to follow. Others have managed to follow them without a single complaint, I'm not sure why you aren't able to do the same. I shouldn't have to defend my character and why I'm here just because you can't seem to grasp the concept of a thread about your favorite albums released in 2004.DsilCaribe wrote:once again you are evading the question. . .. why does it matter to you personally so much if i don't follow your rules??
