yeah, except Urban is a guitar virtouso and writes and produces his own music, so thats what seperates him from other "pop" country acts

ok, since I don't know much about him I give you that and this, I just don't like him. Now don't get me wrong I am not saying he has no talent.

Oh and although I don't know his guitar talent. Are ya sure that "virtuoso" isn't a stretch. Cuz there really are few true virtuoso's out there.

no I did not personally attack you. If you consider what I said a personal attack I'm sorry for if I had personally attacked you it would have been more fierce. What I am asking is for all the fighting and bickering and arguing to stop in all the MUSIC threads. As I have said in several posts in this thread as well as others is there is a lack of respect for the differing opinions. IMHO this thread was started as a result of the bickering. So what if you don't like a musician and I don't?? It's not going to change my opinion and I'm not going to change yours but we can both respect each other's opinions and not be whiney crybabies about the situation.
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.

Connie....it's a lost cause..  ...Im glad I read this thread before I posted....

it's almost at the point, that everyone's likes and dislikes in music is a subject like politics and religion....and how sad is that considering it's a site that we all came to cause we shared 1 like in music.....

G/F.....do like I do....and I know it's tough, when it gets like this....just pretend the thread doesnt exsist....find the threads that are fun, or have REAL meaning to life.....you and I both know Life is to short to argue over music....

PRETTY MUCH ANYONE WHO CAN PLAY MORE THAN RYTHM GUITAR AND CAN PUT TOGETHER A HALF ASS SOLO IS CONSIDERED A GUITAR GOD THESE DAYS.I THINK PART OF THAT COMES FROM SO MANY YEARS WITH NO TALENT WINGNUTS LIKE N-SYNC WHO COULDNT PLAY ANYTHING,SO IF SOMEONE CAN EVEN PLAY AN INSTRUMENT THEY ARE MUSICAL GENIUSES.
I CAN ONLY THINK OF A FEW GUITAR VIRTUOSOS AND URBAN IS NOT ONE OF THEM

That is kinda how I feel. That is why I was curious what made him a "virtuoso". At one time Eddie Van Halen was considered one and that had to do with his classical guitar training.
