Yeah, Clinton can pronounce and spell "lies"

And he's such a cunning and deceptive snake that he'll make you believe that not only is he telling the truth, but that he's the savior of the free world. (puke :x )

:o Because the military won't take grandmothers as new recruits.

The men in my family, however, have stepped up to the plate. My father has a purple heart medal for his efforts in WWII. My brother died overseas during the Vietnam War. My husband is a Vietnam-era veteran. My first husband retired after 22 years in the Air Force. Hell, I'm practically a military groupie. You bet your a$$ I support our Commander-in-Chief and those who are brave enough to fight for our freedoms and our way of life.
Right on Granna!!!

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Last I can remember, our country is based on the United States Constitution, not the Bible.
I wasn't around when either document was written, but I've been led to believe that the bible is older than the constitution.

Since the concept of marriage is defined in the bible, should our government be allowed to recognize it?
I would imagine that the Koran also has definitions of marriage (I don't know because I've never read it).

Our government should be separate from any religious teaching. That's precisely why we have the 1st Amendment.Other religious writings exist, I'm sure, that define marriage and are also older than our Constitution but I don't think we'd all want to jump on that bandwagon either.

Actually the initiatives were drafted in order to create a definition seperate from any religious ones.

Let's get one thing straight here Mallory. You need to read back and you will find out that I am by far means not anti gay. What I have been saying all along is that it's NOT Christians place to judge or condem the gay population. Some of my best oldest and dearest friends are gay in fact.
Oh Connie..I was trying to support your statement further. I agree that it's God's job to judge. I'm all about God judging.
ok my bad. I thought you were thinking that because I was in favor of the Bible's teachings that ment I was anti gay.
Nope. :D

sorry :D
No problem. Wanna argue about something else? I think I have a few minutes.

Lee,
Respectfully, I don't believe he lied. He may have said things that many people did not agree with and/or did not want to hear.
Assume I give you the benefit of the doubt on Iraq... which is tough considering that there was a vocal majority that didn't agree with what the president said at the time - hard to claim you're mislead when a good portion of the world is telling you at the time that you're wrong.

But, in just one example, I watched him say that John Kerry would entrust the defense our country to foreign governments. That was a lie.

I watched him say that Kerry would be "sensitive to terrorists." That was a lie.

Those were just during the campaign.... but there were numerous instances where what he said wasn't true.

Maybe most folks don't care or think it's okay... I'm not sure.
