How about just work a job. I like beer as much as the next guy, but I never had a problem. This is the problem, people continue to make excuses for them instead of calling a spade a spade.big hat carmen wrote:It didn't work because it was a f!!king stupid idea. You don't take addicts into that environment and expect them not to behave as addicts. Whoever ran that mission was totally irresponsible, that is the need for supervision and putting people into a less hazardous environment.PHBeerman wrote:[
It won't work. When I used to work at the beer distributorship, we would hire from the local rescue mission for some part time clean up (repackaging product and such). After they would get doen, I would go back to check out what they had done and find empty beer cans stashed. (I think they would drink as much as they would repack) and for weeks I would get complaints of beer that has been "mispackaged". The bast**** are lazy in most cases. That is why they are homeless. It's already in the mix!!! Most of the "moral" majority leaders are Bible thumping Christians that seem to forget what they have read in the Bible and that the word used most in the Bible is Love.IsleReef wrote:Just for the fun of it, why not just throw the Bible into the mix????![]()
Don't get me wrong. I am a Christian. My family has generations of preachers in it. I am extremely well versed in the Bible. I have a major problem with the different denomonations (sp) taking the word and spinning it to their own use.
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.

Some folks tend to forget about this point when their "issues" are not the winning ones.nycparrothead wrote:Amen brother!PHBeerman wrote:It is called democracy.big hat carmen wrote:There seem to be a lot of those people around lately who want to decide moral issues for all, especially in 11 states.ph4ever wrote:

I've never condemned anyone's decision to vote for Bush but Bush supporters have really given me a hard time because I had different opinion. Says alot for our country.

I find it somewhat ironic that there were many here yesterday saying how great the voter turnout was (and I agree it was great to see) and how great America is for having the opportunity for a democratic election yet when the election doesn't turn out the way they had hoped it's due to the ignorance of the American people
