Just wanted to give you all a thread to complain about the election result (because we all know that it's gonna be W), gripe about recounts, talk about how the end of civilization is upon us and whatever other outrageous gripes you people can come up with.
Please do it here and don't litter up the whole board please!

I will just say congratulations... and Thank You - you just elected Hillary Clinton in 2008 bc once dubya takes another 4 years to sink us even lower , get us into more wars we don't need to be in .. and divide us even further as a nation- there is no way Republicans will win after that.....

all kidding aside, whoever ends up winning after the all the counts and recounts...lets hope that our country and our politicians can pull together and work for a common good for all of us. Whether you beleive in everything each of the candidates stand for or what their track record is...the truth is that one of them will be president and we need to support and back him as our leader...a united America is much more productive than a divided one, as we have seen already.

Kitty.. they won't. If 9/11 didn't do it nothing will! Politicians do not care about the "good for all of us" anymore(if they ever did). Both parties and especially some people within those parties ONLY care about their own politcal agendas and careers. Sad but true.. but thanks for being optimistic.

It's time for us to support and elect statesmen rather than politicians.

That is why it is up to all of us to hold hands and get through this thing together. To continue to be divided over things we have no control over is frustrating and creates bad kharma. I'm not as worried about another terrorist attack coming from there ... I'm scared shitless about what we will do to each other if we keep this ***** up.
Y'all want tension, take it to PMs ...

What concerns me more is the number of folks who voted to ban gay marriage and limit domestic partner rights....
Is America really THIS conservative?
If it is, I may be in the wrong country....

That was bothersome to me as well. But what really humbled me and made me proud was all the people that stood in line 9-12 hours to vote!! They should be commended!!!
