I'm sick and tired of all the remixes and sampling that is going on today. The one last night finally set me off.
I was at the gym when I heard a rather odd beat and a tune I remember from my Summers of laziness.
Someone has now sampled the theme song to "The Price is Right".
What is music coming to when an artist samples a theme song from a game show that began in 1956?!?
Sorry, just had to vent. Now you can go back to arguing about politics.
What's the worst sample/remix/remake you've ever heard?

Close; Bob Barker took over in 72, but the show began with Bill Cullen in 1956.
I know, I really need to get some work done.

Yes, the current version did. The original with Bill Cullen ran from 1956-1965
Is it day?

Anything Puffy produces is pathetic sampling.
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

The worst ever was Madonna remaking arguably one of the finest songs ever written
American Pie.
I have hated that lip syncing b**** since then.

It's not so much that she re-made it. It's that she did such a bad job with it. One of the worst recordings ever!
(American Pie as a dance song? Come on.)

I'm not especially fond of what Counting Crows did to Joni Mitchell's Big Yellow Taxi but I'm usually a fan of their stuff.

Puffy does not produce
good hip hop.
Pharell Williams does. Rick Rubin does. Dr. Dre does. Swizz Beats does. RZA does. Timbaland does. Dallas Austin does.
Even Kanye West does, even though he samples like mad.

Sorry, despite what may have been said in other threads, I don't go out to clubs much. But still, why would they sample "The Price is Right"?!?
