that and the fact that Bush has to clean up the mess he made in Iraq are the only positives I get out of this. Well there is also the fact that voter turnout was huge, thats a good thing. THough I was a little dissapointed in the youth vote, I thought they'd come out in bigger numbersPHBeerman wrote:Air M'Ville Cap'n wrote:At least we now get to see if Bush will deliver on his promises from his convention speech and his campaign speeches. Well, it was 10% of the total vote. While that is the same percentage as it was last year, voter turnout over all was much larger so the yoots turnout was larger as well.Air M'Ville Cap'n wrote:THough I was a little dissapointed in the youth vote, I thought they'd come out in bigger numbers

I heard it was 17%, which was the same as 2000 but as you said, the total turnout was higher, therefore the actual amount of youth voters was higher than 2000.land_shark3 wrote:Well, it was 10% of the total vote. C'mon now Josh. Something happened in between then and now that forced the President to change some of his priorities. No one really cared all that much about his campaign promises on 9/12/01. No President could have maintained all their promised initiatives after the terrorist attacks. The game changed then man. Of course, we can evaluate the President from now on after this election... but the campaign promises of either party in 2000 became irrelevant after 9/11.Air M'Ville Cap'n wrote:At least we now get to see if Bush will deliver on his promises from his convention speech and his campaign speeches.
