Hello PHellow Parrot Heads!

I'm brand-spankin' new to this forum,
but am a fairly seasoned Parrot Head.

I belong to another PHlock forum, it's as good as it can be (heavily censored), yet it's still a political battleground, despite the fact November 2 has came and went. Since August? Maybe September - I've filled my downtime at work NOT among my Parrot Head Political Anaylists via the net, but among a rather bland group of normal people on a forum for folks in my area...

In search of calmer waters, I have found this forum on a migratory path (via Google!), and, well, I'm pretty stoked about finding this!

Yet, also a little leary to jump right in...

As the title implies: Any hints? Opinions? Words of Wisdom? Useful Info?
Hindsight revelations for a new member before they begin posting?
Example: Every forum has an a**hole, a smartass, someone who thinks they know everything, atleast one bored, lonely housewife who'll agree with anyone just to fit in with someone, etc. etc. etc. whether anyone wants to admit it or not...

I'm not looking to stir a pot - Besides, if there's a dumbass on here, I'm sure that in telling me "X is a dumbass" it wouldn't be exactly news to the regulars, right?!

Comments, anyone?

Oh, and just for the record - I'm not sure who has the little headless, mooning figure, but in the process of browsing the past few days, I liked it so much I "borrowed" it for my local area's forum - Hope you don't mind!

Let me help you identify each to save you some time.

A$$****- Well I thingk that many of us have been called this at one time or another, Ok maybe some of us (looking in mirror) have been called this on multiple occasions. But I think if you are looking for an everyday good ole a$$ Tommcat is your man.

Smarta@@-- Nope none of them here.....(hiding under desk so lightning does not strike me down for lying)

Know it all- Yep his name is Lee. (He's a good guy though)

Lonely housewife- Not that I can think of, but if you meet one, send her by, we can keep her company.

Dumba$$? If you hear mention of a monkey that is your guy.

However, we do get into some political disscussion, but now that the election is over, I am saddened to say it has died down. This place is moderated fairly heavily, and there is some slapping that happens if you are not in the mod crowd. So my advice would be to go to the social area and start with certain daily threads there. They will give you the most latitude to do what ever you want.

Welcome aboard ENC...

If you're looking for spirited debate, it can usually be found in this forum. Check your feelings at the door though because both sides defend their opinions pretty vigorously and if you don't like folks who don't back down, it may not be your style....

But the nice thing about this place is that we're all family and as spirited as the discussion gets here, there's no one I wouldn't want to go hang out and drink beers with....

If you're looking for a more general discussion (no politics) then head on over to the Social Area and check out the daily MorningStarCafe thread (or MSC)... it's a new thread every day where folks just go to hang...

Regardless, this is one of the greatest group of Parrotheads that I've had the priviledge of knowing....
