Nursed keet #2 through it all day Saturday, and myself yesterday... :( still not quite right, but good enough to be back at work. Hoping keet #1 and hubby elude it.

I know some of us had the Flamingo Flu - anyone else battling? Anyone get the ever-elusive flu shots?

I've never gotten a flu shot and I've only had the flu twice.

NEVER EVER will I get that shot. I saw my xwife get it and get sicker after that than the flu would have done!
When they run you out of town make it look like you are leading the parade.

I got the flu shot. My employer provides free flu shots to any employee who would like to receive it. They have been doing this for about five years. This year, however, only those who signed up for it advance got the shot - no walk-ins.

My two oldest keets got the intranasal spray vaccine and my two youngest got the flu shot. My wife declined this year though she has gotten the shot in the past.

Got my first flu shot this year (well, the first since I was a kid). I normally don't get them, but my doc recommended it since I am expecting. Better safe than sorry, I guess.

We're sellin' you guys all our extra Canadian supply of vaccine . . . have Americans crossing the border all the way from east to west coast for shots!

(I don't get one, even working in a school with 1000 kids.)

I got the shot, then the very next day they urged "healthy" people not to get the shot. :roll:

Some years I have gotten one and others I haven't. I've only had the flu three times I think. Just drink lots of water, get plenty of sleep and wash your hands ... that's the best way to not get it.

I've gotten the flu shot twice (last time was 28 years ago), and both times have gotten very sick afterwards.
I haven't gotten it since, and have never been sick for one day afterwards.

When I was a kid if you had the flu you were puking your guts out or having "free flow" from the other end (was that polite enough?)

Now fever, runny nose, congestion, cough aches pains etc are the flu....
I'm so confused :-?

I got it in the past when working in the medical field and always ended up sick anyway. Whats the point!!!

I know this sounds stupid...but I actually look forward to getting the flu so I can stay in bed all day and not feel guilty...problem is...I very rarely get sick enough! :x
