Favorite Lines On LTC

Post by parrotheadatl »

My two favorite lines on LTC are both on Coastal Confessions. I love it when Jimmy says, "Lets go to church, Sonny" right before Landreth's solo. And its great when Bubba sings, "...just an altar boy covering his ass." You can actually tell he's laughing when he delivers that line. As an alum of St. Ann's and Our Lady of the Assumption I know exactly what he's talking 'bout.

:D That'sone of my FAVORITES on LTC. I LOVE that whole stanza of the song and is why I love that song so much!!

"So let's talk about the future
Or the consequences of my past
I've got scars, I've got lines
I'm not hard to define
Just an altar boy coverin' his ass."

All over the map, just a-lost in space
With a filthy mind and a choirboy's face

Well I ain't often right, but I've never been wrong.

From Coast of Carolina -
Little roadside restaurant we artfully complain
Groovy tells the waitress that his chicken died in vain

I'm a piece of work, I'm fire and lace
I'm shy right up there in your face

I also love most of the lines in "Anything Anytime Anywhere." I know it is supposed to be a romantic song, but I find myself singing it to my baby a lot.

Boats to Build
Sails are just like wings
The wind can make em sing
Songs of life songs of hope
Songs to keep your dreams afloat

Trip Around the Sun
I’m just hangin’ on while this old world keeps spinning
And it’s good to know it’s out of my control
If there’s one thing that I’ve learned from all this livin’
Is that it wouldn’t change a thing if I let go
Carry on as you know they would want you to do. ~~JB, dedication to Tim Russert

Take your time
Find your passion
Life goes on until it ends
Don’t stop living
Until then

One more vote for that line. It's great! I think about it when things get a little tough for me.

Well, I'm a tidal pool explorer
From the days of my misspent youth.
I believe that down on the beach
Where the seagulls preach
Is where the Chineese buried the truth.

I so love that opening.
Gentilly ... 42 years is a long time to wait .... a Northeast Texas woman can hope.
My love is an anchor tied to you, tied with a silver chain.
