I'll pretend I didn't see that last comment.

PT, it's going to be great year. With Mizzou looking tough again and Collier continuing to build at Nebraska and Sampson lucking into good players, it's going to be one helluva a conference season. I think Wake is on tonight, so I'll get to see my first game on the tube. Skip is one of my favorite coaches from his days at Xavier. Another interesting note is no Duke to be found in the top ten. It'll be interesting to watch them. Lots of good stories.

I have to agree with you on the multiple story lines that will go on this year. It should hopefully make for one of the best college basketball seasons in a while. In addition to the BIGXII teams you talked about up there, Texas also got a couple diaper dandies that will keep them in decent shape :x Wake looked good last night. Chris Paul is the real deal.

Hey, I played this game and what happens is the Michigan guy gets fouled, the bucket is good and he hits the free throw to complete the 3 point play and give Michigan an 80-77 victory!

GO BLUE !!!!

I like the sound of that game. Only I would have to switch the teams to Mizzou and Oklahoma St :D

I'd be happy with both scenarios. :D PT, wasn't real impressed with the Buff's last night, although they showed a little heart at the end. Looks like Roby will be most of their team. UM, I'm not sure about, they could be really good or really bad. One thing's for sure, they could have used more fans in that building. Sheesh.

Duff,
What kind of schedule lies ahead for your Red Raiders. I know they have a tough conference schedule, but what does it look like outside that. KU has a pretty good out of confernce schedule. Games against St. Joes, GA Tech and Kentucky are the big ones.

I'm not sure why, I guess Coach wanted to up his win totals going into conference, but he hasn't played a tough non-conference schedule since he got to TT. This year 11 of the first 12 games are all in the state of Texas. The only travel is to Chicago to play my childhood idol, Steve Alford and Iowa. Other than Iowa, they have to play a probably low Ohio State team, mediocre TCU and San Francisco teams and that's about it. Not many real threats. Conference opener is against Okie State, so that will prolly be the first real barometer.

Loved seeing the Heels get knocked off by Santa Clara. Just don't like ol Roy for some reason.

As for Coach, he's 1-0 so far after beating a severely overmatched UNC-Asheville. However, they managed to put up 117 points witch is very uncharacteristic for Coach's teams. The game definitely raises optimism for a season that was billed as a rebuilding season. But now, you never know. 8)

I still have some fondness in my heart for ol' Roy Boy. Unless we run up against the 'Heels somewhere along the way. My 'Hawks scared me a little in the opener, but looked great last night in destroying St. Joe's.

Beware the late 90's are back at Michigan State- running and gunning between physical defense

We put a hundred on U of W-greenbay and held them to 50, of course this team wont make the tourney so not a big deal but the guys in green are the team to beat!!

ROCKCHALK JAYHAWKS !!!
Through football season I'm Wildcat fan, but come basketball season I'm still a Wildcat fan, but I'm also realistic too. And root for the Jayhawks. They sure looked great against St. Joseph. Hopefully this will be the year.

The college hoops thread was getting burried a little bit...I had to bring it back up towards the top.

I know there are a few of you Hoosier fans out there. They haven't been looking that bad. They have started with a really tough schedule so far, but in the long run that should make 'em even tougher. Jayhawks keep on rolling...4-0 so far.

Sheesh, I thought everybody had forgot it was basketball season. I was at the IU/UNC game and about puked all over myself because both teams played so bad. However, after watching the UConn game it seems that Davis actually did some teaching during practice. I couldn't believe my eyes because they were actually moving on offense. Of course, they dropped the gameplan and ended up falling over themselves. Still, a glimmer of hope. Looking forward to the ND game Wed.

As for the Red Raiders, they continue to improve and are beating some decent teams. A road win over UTEP yesterday was very satisfying, as UTEP is picked to win their conference. Remember the name Martin Zeno. Guns up.

I guess Tubby is limping back to Kentucky this morning! We played out of our minds. Carolina has the best starting 5 in college basketball (its just when we have to go to the bench is when the problem starts)

There is no program anywhere that is like good ol' Carolina Basketball :D

GO HEELS!!

and go to hell duke
