Just got back from the IU/ND game. The team got me excited after showing some life against UConn, but went back to the same old BS tonight. Lack of effort and skills led to another home loss. Something that never used to happen at Assembly Hall. Once again I had to clean my shoes off after the teams play led me to regurgitate.

Am I the only one excited about college hoops season? I know it is just starting to get good with conference play about to start soon, but there are still some great games going on. I'll take this time to wish Wayne "BigDub" Simien a speedy recovery from thumb surgery. The Jayhawks will definitely need him in order to do anything in the tourney! I'm just glad this happened early in the season and not in February or March. I'm trying really hard to put a positive spin on this and say that it will give us better depth when he returns :-?...but I'd still rather have Wayne healthy now.

I've been to a few Oklahoma State games this year and they look goooooood. Sure wish I could be in Lawrence for that OSU/KU game. Hey Pencil Thin, are you gonna make it to that game? :D

I sure wish I could :( . I think it is Feb. 27th, so at least Wayne should be back by then. That game should decide the BigXII. As much as I hate to say it, I have to agree with you on OSU. They look tough as well. The only game I will probably make it to this year will be the Jan. 15th game here against the Buffs.

Wow, I can't believe this, but the Mountaineers are off to a 9-0 start with an impressive upset of #20 George Washington last night! This is the best start since the days of Jerry West!

Hope they keep it up - they play NC State on Sunday in Raleigh.

NC State looked bad in a loss to St. Johns :-? I think the Mountaineers will give them a heck of a game tomorrow.

Jayhawks pull off an incredible victory against Georgia Tech. Trailing the entire game, KU sends it into OT late and then gets the W. WOW :o Great start to the new year!!!

Pains me to say it, but I think Illinois is good enough to be the first unbeaten team since 1976...

Hey PT, unbelievable game yesterday. That was one of the best games I've watched in a long time. KU showed some serious stones to keep fighting. I got feeling both teams will be around late in March.

woooo hooo! I can't help but be giddy with excitement over the Mountaineers upset of #17 NC State today! It's been several years since we've had a team in the top 25! (96-97) and we're 10-0 now!

You're telling me :o Even me, being one of the biggest KU fans around, started to lose a little faith in that first half. Hopefully the injury to Simien will get our young guys the experience they will need down the stretch :D We still have a few big games without him though. Undefeated Texas A&M, @ Kentucky and then then the conference schedule kicks into high gear.

 It sounds like he's a pretty talented kid, but he will have to put the ego aside to play for Izzo.

Didn't Marshall hand WVU a loss the other night?
