My job is a job. I have been in the workforce full time since about 1977. i have never been chained to a desk and locked in a cubihell before and it is tuff getting used to it. 2 years and i still am not. But the economy is so bad around here (thanks George) I'll never find something that pays like this with union benefits

I not only enjoy what I do, but the fact that so many people depend on me and that there are THOUSANDS of others who are willing to take my job in a minute gives me even added incentive.

YES!!! I finally found a job that suits me. NO CUBE FARM, RARELY any traffic. I work out of the house and get called by the office when they need me to go to a customer. I don't get to sit at home but do get to choose when I leave which is why I am rarely in traffic. I only am on call from 8am - 5pm. I make my own schedule.

I have the most amazing, fun staff and we all really like eachother and have fun working. I get to work in 5 million dollar houses and dream of living in one like that some day...
I am the boss...so I guess that helps!

This is sooooo true.IsleReef wrote:We all have good days and we all have bad days.......... We should all be thankful that at least we have a job to complain about........![]()
I love my job dearly but I am a seasonal employee and laid off 4-6 months out of the year....which has actually worked for me for a long time. Recent circumstances in my life, however, are requiring me to seek full time year round employment. Unfortunately with all of the cutbacks that are going on with the Forest Service right now there is virtually no chance of that happening for me here any time soon. It really is sad........but something good may just come out of this. I'm going to go back to school and chase my dreams.

My life long passion has been marine biology......I am exploring all the possibilities that surround that.

Island Hopper, good luck to you in the marine biology field. That is also one of my passions, unfortunately, it doesn't pay very well.
