favorite Buffett music video

Post by VB for Buffett »

what is your favorite Jimmy Buffett music video of all time?
judging by a lot of the music videos you see today a lot of Jimmy’s look pretty good, old and new.

I think either Trip Around the Sun
or 5 O' Clock Somewhere was his best.

What do you think his best music video of all time is?

One Particular Harbor is my favorite. Trip around the Sun is good but it doesn't have the same pull on my heartstrings.

"La Vie Dansante" is so cheesey maybe thats why I like it so much.
Also "Livin' It Up" is good
"Come Monday" is also great along with "Who's the Blonde Stranger"
Guess I don't really have a fave.

While "Meet me in Margaritaville" is not even Jimmy's song, it is all about him and the video to it puts the biggest smile on my face :D

forgot about that one...its good and I enjoy it every time I see it...its better on the DVD than in concert when Jimmy sings it.

...and heck all of the videos are good....

"La Vie Dansante" may look cheesey now but Michael Nesmith was years ahead of his time when he first put that video together way back when. It was one of many pleasant surprises on Tales From Margaritavision to me mainly because of the production values. Otherwise I really like "Who's The Blonde Stranger". It just has such a good storyline to bring to life on video. Of the live performance clips I like "Nautical Wheelers" the best because it captures Buffett in at a point in his career that is so rarely documented on film.

I like "Take another Road" because it was filmed in Stock Island Key and it's very different.... not to mention it is one of my favorite songs AND Les took me there last year when we camped at Sugarloaf - we had to scale a 6 ft fence (which I almost impailed myself on- he should have told me not to wear flip flops!!!) - anyway - we saw the drive-in and also the movie shack that had been burned down - but we luckily found some unscathed tiles! ANy ideas on how to use them? Light pink, blue, peach, black.... I was thinking of breaking them up and doing a mosaic picture frame with a nice Key West picture in it... anyway.... just throwing it out there

Hey Good Looking because I was there.
Trip Around the Sun because of the crab boil and familiar scenery.
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend

NAUTICAL WHEELERS...

come on, how can you not love the crazy hippy doing the "Nautical Wheeler Dance." I am known to slug down a few rum drinks, throw on an eyepatch, and do the NW dance along with the video. I laugh so hard I cry everytime!!
Can't lay on the beach and drink rum all day...unless you start in the morning!

2. 5:00 Somewhere
1. Fruitcakes --- never listened to the song the same way again after i saw the video.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar
