The first time should be in the back of a buggy with a girl that they think they're in love with.

Very gracious of you, Cap'n. I would not have gotten it without your John Wayne hint.CaptainP wrote:Nah, it's yours. Re: Name that movie
I know I don't need verification on that one, so I'm going to go right ahead and post:
Hell of a situation we got here. Two on, two out, your team down by one in the ninth. You got a chance to be a hero on national television... if you don't blow it. By the way, saw your wife last night, hell of a dancer, you must be very, very proud. I mean that guy she was with, I'm sure he's a close personal friend and all. But tell me, what was he doing wearing her panties on his head?
Hint...they filmed several scenes in my restaurant....and it was released 25 years ago today!!!

Oh, I know I've used it before. But with today being the anniversary date, and I'm sitting here at work, right by the production photos from when they filmed the bar scenes here....and since Corbin Bernsen just came in....it felt appropriate.lime rickie wrote:LMAO, and it was YOU that posted it.lime rickie wrote:I feel bad taking this but it's Major League...Slap Shot for baseball...and discussed a few pages back ( I met Ueck).CaptainP wrote:I know I don't need verification on that one, so I'm going to go right ahead and post:

Re: Name that movie
WHICH bar scenes? I know some of the scenes were shot at the Safe House off Water Street in downtown Milwaukee, and I think some other scenes were shot at what was then Mader's Restaurant in Waukesha.
And then there's the "working-class tavern" with the U-shaped bar that shows up a couple of times. Haven't yet figured out what watering hole they used for those scenes.

Been to both of 'em, just not recently. And also Cesar's, and also the bar that used to be (and might still be) in the basement of the Woods View Best Western.CaptainP wrote:I run the Safe House.Bicycle Bill wrote:WHICH bar scenes? BTW — did you ever replace "Sneaky Pete" Elliot? I was impressed with his cup-and-balls routine, and also the trick that he called "Powers of Darkness".
