Retirement Savings Advice?

For any financial gurus out there. Please read the following assuming that my significant other and I will live happily ever after!
My wife currently works for a public agency which offers a great retirement plan which includes a 401(k), 401(a), 457(b), and pension plan (she contributes to all of them). I work for a public school district which offers a 403(b) and pension plan. Should I forgo the 403(b) and just max out my wife's plan? If not, why not? We each also contribute the allowable max to Roth IRAs.
Pretty boring topic but what the hay!
Thanks!!
