Back to the Island next single?

Post by PA PAR8 HED »

While cruising ebay, I found a promo single of Back to the Island listed for sale.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 90643&rd=1

Can we then assume BTTI will be the next single released? If so, it is a Jimmy solo song, see how he stands on his own...

Interesting. . . I don't think they're done working "Trip" yet... and they definately haven't serviced Back to the Island to country radio.

I will let you know if it shows up here.

Hmm... if you search this seller's other items, he has a ton of CD singles and promos listed, none of them country. So maybe they're releasing this one to pop / AC.

I believe the next generation needs to explore some of the music Leon Russell put out 30 years ago. It's good stuff, eh? ............thinkin' about " Hank Wilson's Back" released in 1973 and it was what country music was to me........along with JB..... 8) 8) 8) 8)

I don't know if anyone has been watching, but they did use "Back to the Island" as background music on CMT's "Cowboy U".

Gosh that would be so awesome if BTTI were the next single! It's sooooooooooo laid back. They played it on RM while I working the other day, and it instantly mellowed me out.....besides, Jimmy needs to have a "single" single, instead of another "group" single (IMO).

Back To The Island was serviced to AC a while back. It received some play in a few of the larger metropolitan areas but never took off. I'm not sure what the strategy was behind that move.
