While I was very happy to get

Post by cedarkey »

the book delivered yesterday, I might be embarrassed to read it on the bus. With print that large it makes me feel that I'm back in 3rd grade reading circle. The sad truth though is that it is much easier to read, not ready to give into the bifocals yet.

Millions of people need the use of glasses, I don't see the problem. I just got my first pair of reading glasses (Monday). All these years and I've had great vision .... now I submit to age catching up with one of the parts of me I can't do anything about. I dealt with the blurriness up close for a while .... no reason ... just did. I care little either way about wearing glasses (sometimes they even improve your looks!!). I've got bigger issues to worry about if I wanted to ... the other thing I can't do anything about ...... it's called 'hair loss'!!!!! Simple thing is that it's a fact of life for many. Why even make it an issue???

Just wait until you get older and your hormones change your vision and you can see better again...

or have cataract surgery and see perfectly again. :)

I can't wait to get the book...hope it comes today.

I am extremely near-sighted so glasses are a must! I also have a terrible astygmatism so contacts are challenging at best.

I explained to my family how I wanted lasik surgery and my daughter promptly said, "But mommy, your glasses make you look like a mommy!".

So the glasses stay. At least for a while.

Just as they make corrective lenses for vision, they make a little blue pill to help you with the other "parts of life".

I knew I was getting old 4 years ago when I had to get progressive lenses in my glasses. Then it became official the next year when somebody called me "sir" at an Allman Brother concert.
