We seldom ate it at my house, but it has become a Thanksgiving tradition with the friends I spend Thanksgiving with now. And lots and lots of onions!

I have tried this when in USA for thanksgiving (this is my first thanksgiving back in Australia in four years) and GROSS!!!!!!!!

My friend I spent NYE with in the USA last year has some sort of tradition that it is good luck to eat beans on New Years day .....

She made me "swallow" 4 beans ... one for each year for 200"4" - I am just grateful I did not visit her in 1999
