Cats

Recently I had a new neighbor move in and promptly buy 2 of the most worthless critters know to man. Cats. Now they are craping everywhere. well at least until I get time to trap them and take them for a little drive.

Who else shares my views of hating this species?

I've never been particularly fond of cats, but I don't think my feelings run QUITE as deep as yours!

The two cats I ever REALLY liked acted more like dogs, which is a species I dearly love. One was a Himalayan Siamese (sooooooooo laid back!) and the other is my hubby's kitty...he's just a big orange mutt, and also really laid back.

I wouldn't do anything to hurt one, but I would never have a cat as a pet. Can't stand them.

Why do people hate cats so much? I have been around cats since I was born. I have never got any plagues or had my breath stolen. I have no problem if someone says they don't like cats and leaves it at that. But I can't and won't understand why people say they would hurt a cat.

like I told someone at work when they joked about hurting a cat....

Autumn (female), the one on the right in both pics, is pooh's cat, that was picked out of a litter.

Rio, the one on the left, is mine. She was a stray kitten about 5-6 months old. Someone left her where I work, so I caught her and brought her home.

both are fixed and indoor cats that we LOVE very much

In my dealings with emotionally disturbed people as a social worker, I found that the ones who turned their anger toward animals were the ones who were either beaten as a child or sexually molested and now confused of their own sexual orientation. Still trying to figure out which category Beerman is in but my money is on both..... people who don't love cats scare me.

....as my new kitten is now sitting on my shoulder and purring.

and as I joke about alot of things on this website or try to make things funny.... I take very seriously people who abuse animals - even people who talk about it and may even be joking turn me off.

As someone who is highly allergic to them, I don't care for them at all...... I have a friend who has a cat and if he sits in my lounge chair or where I hang on the couch, I will still break out in hives days later...... I used to think they were cute as I did not starting having allergy's until my 20's....... If they are yours, no problem...... Other than that, dogs rule.....

I don't mind people saying they don't like cats.... to each his own....

but when people talk about stealing people's pets and dumping them somewhere, or talk about hurting them, that p*sses me off beyond words. there's not enough hate out there in the world that we need to bring it in here to BN?

We have FIVE wonderful, smart, clean, INDOOR kitties that we love very much. Pet cats should probably be kept inside and away from predators and gardens.
