I call it soda but I hardly ever drink it. Unless there's alcohol mixed in.

Well, we ask for Coke and if all they have is Pepsi, then we drink it...well, some of us do....(Actually, I have heard Co'cola most of my life)
We just have always called it Coke...You can stop at the convenience store "to get a coke" and come out with a Sprite...We all know it means you want a carbonated drink....

I grew up calling it pop, but switched somewhere in young adulthood to soda... I've always lived in the midwest though...

It mostly depends on where you were raised ..... in the Michigan region we call it pop or Coke.
