I call it soda but I hardly ever drink it. Unless there's alcohol mixed in.

Well, we ask for Coke and if all they have is Pepsi, then we drink it...well, some of us do....(Actually, I have heard Co'cola most of my life)
We just have always called it Coke...You can stop at the convenience store "to get a coke" and come out with a Sprite...We all know it means you want a carbonated drink....

I grew up calling it pop, but switched somewhere in young adulthood to soda... I've always lived in the midwest though...

`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

All the yokels here call it pop, but worldly person that I am, I call it whatever it is-Coke, Pepsi, 7-Up, Dr. Pepper, Absense, Aresnic, whatever.

Here I am! Of course it's coke.

Here, too. And if you actually want the brand Coke, you order CocaCola.

then its still a coke. when i say "i'll have coke", i really mean what ever you have is fine. i guess that just an alabama thing.
if someone says "i'll have some pop ehh" then they get popped in the ass right back up north where they came from.
