Wrigley Rumor????????

Schooner-I think this would be the first ever-I don't recall any before this-there have been a few at Comiskey/US Cellular, and lots at Soldier Field but not Wrigley.

All the stations had the story on the news tonight though clearly the surrounding community would be an issue (as it was for Fenway). One story said it would be Labor Day Weekend!

The potential Buffett concert at Wrigley was the front page story in the Sun Times this morning. It got a mention in the Tribune as well. Both stories had a nice picture of Jimmy with it....

After seeing Jimmy at Fenway Park this year I told some of my friends that if the details could be worked out I thought he'd play Wrigley next year. He's a big baseball fan, he does 2 shows in Chicago every year and he looked like a kid on Christmas morning at Fenway. I'm ready to go back to Chicago.

Awww Heck! LD at Wrigley. Might nix plans for Camden and Alpine for Chicago. It's on our list of "have to visits" anyway because one of the American Girl Doll stores is there.

So, where would we tailgate?

Tailgate in Wrigleyville!? No chance of that. Sorry... closest place to have a tailgate would probably be the suburbs... Tinley Park maybe?

I'm assuming the situation would be similar to what it was like in Boston... pre-party at the Wrigleyville bars.

Maybe he'll just swap out the "normal" chicago/GW weekends. I'm sure it depends more on the Cubs schedule than on anything else. I don't think GW-ers will moan too much as long as he comes back to GW SOME weekend next summer....

(and we still have the damned golf down the street from GW on Labor Day weekend, so that may be a factor, too.....

)
